Yesterday, we vented all the greens with slicers and 1/4 inch solid tines. This is to help the greens release some of the moisture that is held up in our clay soils. This was followed by a topdressing that was broomed into the turf canopy. The sand helps change the soil structure to a more desirable one as well as smooth and firm the playing surface.
Today, because of the sand on the greens, We only double rolled the greens. This was done to try to save the bed knives on the mowers. Tomorrow for the member guest we will be single cutting and double rolling the greens to get some speed out of th
