Yesterday we had .8 inch of rain. The greens were flooded by 1 pm but drained down by 3 pm. We were not able to cut greens today because they were too soft. We hope to return to our regular mowing schedule tomorrow. We will be taking it easy on the greens the next few days with the high temperatures predicted for the next 3 days. We will be syringing greens and fairways the next 4 days. So please be mindful of our green managment team.
More important is that we need to get our fungicide applications out tomorrow or dieases will start to show up on the course. Please keep an eye out for the applicators on the sprayers. If they are in the middle of a fairway please wait for them to finish their pass. Once an applicator starts a spray pass it is not desirable to stop it in the middle of a fairway. They will let you play through as soon as they complete their pass.
We will be applying our fairway fertilizer on Monday. Temperatures are predicted to be in the mid 60's with rain. This is perfect for this process to be completed. We will also be slicing and topdressing the greens Monday as well. This process creates a void that will allow for gas exchange within the top 1.5 inches of the green.
